What EV is an independent information site. Our running-cost calculator, EV matching quiz, comparison tool and battery health checker produce estimates from the figures you enter, published averages and live public price feeds. They are not financial, tax, legal or purchasing advice, and no result is an offer or a quotation.

Prices, rebates, charging tariffs, ranges and efficiency figures change frequently and vary by region, vehicle condition and driving style. Real-world results will differ from our estimates. Always confirm current prices, incentives and eligibility with the seller or the relevant authority before making a decision.

We take no commission on vehicle or charger sales, and no manufacturer pays for a ranking or a mention. Rankings come from the data and the answers you give.

You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial research. You may not scrape, resell or republish our data or content at scale, attempt to disrupt the service, or use it in a way that breaches applicable law.

The site, its text, design and generated content belong to What EV. Vehicle names, trademarks and images belong to their respective owners and are used for identification.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we provide the site on an “as is” basis and are not liable for any loss arising from decisions made using our estimates. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable Canadian or provincial consumer protection legislation, which cannot be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of the province or territory in which you reside and the applicable laws of Canada. Quebec residents may rely on the protections of the Consumer Protection Act.
