What EV is an independent information site. Our running-cost calculator, EV matching quiz, comparison tool and battery health checker produce estimates from the figures you enter, published averages and live public price feeds. They are not financial, tax, legal or purchasing advice, and no result is an offer or a quotation.

Prices, rebates, charging tariffs, ranges and efficiency figures change frequently and vary by region, vehicle condition and driving style. Real-world results will differ from our estimates. Always confirm current prices, incentives and eligibility with the seller or the relevant authority before making a decision.

We take no commission on vehicle or charger sales, and no manufacturer pays for a ranking or a mention. Rankings come from the data and the answers you give.

You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial research. You may not scrape, resell or republish our data or content at scale, attempt to disrupt the service, or use it in a way that breaches applicable law.

The site, its text, design and generated content belong to What EV. Vehicle names, trademarks and images belong to their respective owners and are used for identification.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that services are supplied with due care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss arising from decisions made using our estimates is limited to resupplying the relevant service.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State or Territory in which you reside, and the applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Australia.
